The story of Jean-Louis Mourre‘s vineyard begins in 1962 when the Mourre family, after 42 years of winemaking in Algeria, returned to France and acquired the estate. Located in the Rhône Valley, at the foot of the majestic Dentelles de Montmirail, the domaine spans 22 hectares, including 7 hectares in Vacqueyras. Jean-Louis Mourre, driven by his passion and geological expertise, fulfilled his dream of producing fine wines, blending tradition and
innovation.
The estate is organically farmed, respecting both the land and vines, with an impressive average vine age of 50 years. This exceptional terroir -shaped by geology, climate and careful viticulture- yields wines of remarkable complexity and character. From Vin de France to Côtes du Rhône to the renowned Vacqueyras, each bottle reflects the estate’s commitment to authenticity, elegance, and the unique expression of its irreplaceable terroir.
