Château de Quinçay

CHATEAU DE QUINCAY

The Producer

Benoit Cadart is the 6th generation running Château de Quinçay, located in Meusnes, on the south facing slopes of the Cher River.

Everything started in 1860, when Charles Cadart, a new retired General of the French army, came back from Algeria and visited his uncle at Château de Quinçay. At this time they were practicing a mixed farming (including cereals). In 1970 the Cadart family decided to move to a full viticulture operation.

28 hectares for this estate with 3 appellations: Touraine, Valençay and Touraine-Chenonceaux. The main grape used is Sauvignon Blanc for the white, Malbec and Cabernet Franc for the red.

Since 2021, the Domaine is turning into an organic vinification, after being Terras Vitis since 1999.
